Upcoming Programs
Average Joe's Goes to the City with the Steve Waugh Foundation

Average Joe's Runners Club is teaming up with National Icon Steve Waugh (or so he keeps telling Jock) and Team Waugh to raise money for the Steve Waugh Foundation in the world's biggest fun run; the Sun Herald City2Surf!
Jock Athletic has a great history with Steve Waugh and his foundation, and Steve still trains at Jock Athletic (if you could call it that). We have been involved in all the events the Foundation does for kids with rare diseases. So come and join us for this great cause and run, walk or crawl your way to Bondi to help raise money for these kids. We will make sure you have fun doing it as well! Log onto www.teamwaugh.com.au or follow the instructions below.

Jock will be taking sessions for Team Waugh and also providing programs for the race on the Steve Waugh Foundation website. Come and easily beat Steve in this race.
Jock will be providing training tips and programs leading up to the event, starting with the attached beginners and intermediate programs, as well as an attached stretching and warm-up program.
INTERMEDIATE PROGRAM
STRETCHING & FLEXIBILITY PROGRAM
As a warm-up run, Jock will be taking a group to complete the Sutherland to Surf on Sunday 25 July. Go to www.sutherland2surf.com.au for details.

FujiFilm Hamilton Island Triathlon Week, November 2010
For all those that have dared to dream, come and do your first triathlon with others who struggle to swim. This triathlon is half-distance; that is, 750m swim in the crystal clear waters of Hamilton Island, 20km bike ride, and a 5km run. If you don't think you can do this individually, you can
combine with two others in a relay team.
As we don't know too much about swimming,
we have recruited Olympian Craig Stevens
to get us out of the dog paddle lane and
looking like Thorpey!
Program Starts: 30th August
Race days: 9-14 November
Where: Hamilton Island, Australia
The program: Based in Cronulla - 10 weeks training, with sessions covering all three triathlon disciplines
Who: Anyone who wants a goal or a challenge
Hamilton Island Triathlon Workshop 9-12 November
Captain Average Jock will join the likes of Miles Stewart and Alex Popov in a 3 day workshop, sharing their knowledge of everything you need to know to maximise preparation, performance and recovery.
Whitehaven Beach Ocean Swim 12 November
Your first real test. 750m for the feint-hearted, and 2km for the true Joes.
FujiFilm Hamilton Island Triathlon 14 November
